Are you a passionate health and fitness expert looking for your next venture? We are looking for an experienced and driven fitness professional to lead a dynamic team and make a real impact within the community based at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct. The new role of Gym Team Leader will oversee the operations of our brand-new Gym and Recovery Centre, opening in 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of fitness and recovery services in a state-of-the-art facility while working in a supportive and inclusive environment. About the Role Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of fitness professionals, ensuring high performance and compliance with industry standards. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the gym and recovery centre, including equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and safety. Develop and deliver a dynamic group fitness timetable, actively instructing classes and gym‑based coaching sessions. Drive membership growth and retention through exceptional customer service, community engagement, and innovative programming. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and implement risk‑management frameworks. Contribute to the financial sustainability and continuous improvement of the gym and recovery centre. Bring high energy and enthusiasm to your team. Empowering your team to succeed and establishing and maintaining a strong inclusive culture. What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have: Certificate IV in Fitness or equivalent qualification (mandatory). Current First Aid and CPR certification (mandatory). Positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card) (mandatory). Demonstrated experience in fitness centre operations and team leadership in a gym or group fitness setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
