We strive to set the standard of what quality looks like in the advanced manufacturing space, through our systems and culture, and we are dedicated to ensuring the business is run with its employees in mind.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, driven individual to join our growing team as a Mechanical Leading Hand.As a leading hand Mechanic/Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, repairs and maintenance of Light/Medium/Heavy Vehicles, mobile plant and equipment. Which includes but not limited to preventive maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics. Providing guidance and assistance as part of a team, to oversee all mechanical jobs and complete QA checks all completed work.The successful candidates must have strong knowledge and experience over a range of vehicle, equipment and plant along with possessing a particular focus on driving safety, quality and efficiency.Role ResponsibilitiesPreventative maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and manuals to maximise production.Ensure assigned trades work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy and all statutory requirements.Initiate/complete Work Orders, ensure timely sign off for completed job instructions, provide relevant diagnostic/feedback and reports as required.Liaise and organise all sub-contractor required work for fitting in conjunction with the managerProvide direction and support to workers to achieve set goalsAbout youThe ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong customer focus combined with initiative, enthusiasm, ambition, and a willingness to learn.To be considered for this you must have the following skills and experiences;Trade qualification in mechanical or diesel fittingCarry out diagnostic inspections and fault findingTeam Leadership experience, able to provide supervision and assist with the coordination of the workshop team to achieve goalsAbility to work autonomously or in a team environment.Multitasker in all areasStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent attention to detail, assisting with Quality checks on all works.Vehicle Loading Crane/Elevated Work Platform Experience highly regarded but not essentialCurrent C Class LicenseSkills in a broad range of mechanical disciplinesAbility to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screenWhat we offerEmployee Incentive SchemeOngoing development and trainingEmployee assistance program for employees and immediate familyCash-out annual leave options (conditions apply).Recognition and benefits schemeCareer progression opportunitiesOvertime rates with plenty of overtime opportunitiesYou will be amongst a team of driven and capable individuals with a common ongoing goal to deliver first class products.
