HSE Advisor

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: We are looking for an experienced HSSE Advisor to join our Dampier Bulk Handling Facility (DBHF) project for a FIFO position to Karratha. DBHF is a wharf structure being built to support the export of urea in bulk quantities through the Port of Dampier. The project is the demolition and removal of decommissioned marine structures, the construction a new land backed wharf and land redevelopment. This project is due to finish in March /April 2026 and is on a 19:9 rotation to site in Karratha. We require an experienced a HSSE Advisor with a background in large construction, Civil or Wharf projects to join our team. The roleWho youare Courageous. Motivated. Curious. Passionate. Creative. Your focus will include: Implementing the culture to achieving Zero Harm Health, Safety and Environment (including security and technical integrity) framework through the company standards, systems/processes. Presenting Environment strategies and plans, results and incident reviews to Project management teams. Delivery of Environment results from project wide audit program and provide reports and reviews on incident and HSE performance across the project. Ensuring behaviours required, training and engagement in, and the ongoing coaching and accountability support for leaders in achieving the zero-harm culture. Advise and support management and staff on health, safety, and environmental best practices. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations. Provide HSE training and support to employees at all levels. Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to senior management. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the company’s environmental management system. Stay updated on the latest HSE legislation and best practices. Ensuring behaviours required, training and engagement in, and the ongoing coaching and accountability support for leaders in achieving the zero-harm culture. What you will bring to the team: Proven experience (5+ years) as a HSE Advisor in construction, or related industries. Highly regarded qualification in Occupational Health and Safety> Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and environmental management. Ability to influence and drive a safety culture across all levels of the organisation Experience in the construction, commissioning and operation of onshore / near shore marine or similar projects.
