Overview Food Service Assistant – Fronditha Care Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook meals for care recipients in Fronditha Care facilities. Cutting, chopping, slicing, and other food‑preparation tasks. Load and unload food trolleys, dishwashers, and commercial ovens. Transfer large cooking pots from oven to bench and sink. Maintain high standards of hygiene and comply with food safety regulations. Set and arrange tables and chairs according to procedures. Wash dishes, clean workbenches, and keep the kitchen and dining area tidy. Report any faulty kitchen equipment and maintain compliance with safety standards. Oversee documentation related to food safety, meal records, and stock levels. Participate in continuous improvement processes to enhance service quality. What Success Looks Like Food handling certificate required. Proven experience with food handling, cleaning, and infection control in aged care. Minimum 1 year’s experience in the aged care sector. Proficiency in communication and teamwork. Preference for background in aged care or related field, NSW Food Safety Supervisor licence, Cert III in Commercial Cookery. Ability to work weekends and afternoon shifts. Qualifications & Skills Food handling certificate. Minimum 1 year’s experience in the aged care sector. Proven skills around infection control and safe food handling. Proficiency in communication and teamwork. Preferred background in aged care or a related field. Need to be able to work weekends and afternoon shifts. Benefits Hourly pay up to $15,900 per annum of pre‑tax income. Meal and entertainment benefits up to $2,650 per annum.
