You will assist in effectively serving our patient, doctor, and staff meals with particular attention to patient dietary needs & assist with function catering at a consistently high standard and within HACCP guidelines. As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include: Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required. Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture. Provide high standard of customer service Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development Essential Criteria: 2 years' experience in a similar role within a Hospital or Aged care environment Completed Basic Food Handling Training (or working towards) Certificate III in Hospitality (or working towards) Authority to Work in Australia Hold a valid NSW Working with Children check for Employment ('E'() Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements Commitment to service excellence Strong communication and customer skills Attention to detail Work well independently and within a team Available for a variety of shifts & on call shifts To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
