Location: 27 Tuncks Road, Desert Springs, NT 0870. Position: Full-Time (38 hours per week) Annual Salary: $65,000 to $70,000 plus superannuation About the Role The Bean Tree Café ASP is a well-established café and event venue located within the scenic Olive Pink Botanic Garden, a historical site surrounded by native wildlife and desert plants in Alice Springs. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality food, coffee, and service in a relaxed, nature-filled setting. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Front of House (Hospitality Worker) to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will play an important role in daily operations, ensuring smooth service flow, excellent customer experience, and efficient coordination within the team. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and warmth. Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages. Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including coffee and specialty beverages. Operate the POS system, handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining and service areas. Assist with stock control, restocking, and inventory checks. Communicate effectively with kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless service. Assist in creating and managing staff rosters in coordination with management. Support event setup, catering service, and pack-down when required. Follow workplace health, safety, and food handling standards. Work in shifts including some weekdays, weekends and evenings as required. Train new staff when needed. Skills and Experience Required A certificate II or III desirable, along with at least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in hospitality or customer service (café or restaurant). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Barista experience or coffee knowledge highly regarded. Experience in rostering and shift coordination preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Experience operating POS systems and handling transactions. Positive attitude, reliability, and strong team focus.
