Currently I am looking for HC Truck Drivers with a Roller license and ability to work away from home for a few weeks at a time. This is a temp to perm opportunity for you to join a leading civil works company that specialises in building and repairing roads. VOC's will be conducted with all new operators prior to start, so they are willing to train new operators in the spray seal business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a team, is comfortable working away, and is ready for a demanding but rewarding career within a company that takes great care of their employees. This is a versatile role where you'll be a key part of a team that travels to new and existing road construction projects. Your responsibilities will be a mix of driving and hands‑on labour, including: HC Truck Driving: Starting at the depot to drive to the job site with all the necessary equipment. Roller Operation: Operating a roller to compact surfaces on new or repaired roads. Spray Seal Application: Operating the spray agitator in the truck to apply sealant and asphalt. General Labouring: Assisting the team with site duties such as sweeping, cleaning, and packing/unpacking tools. Schedule & Conditions Pay Rate: $38.98 to $42.85 per hour (based on experience). Summer Schedule: You'll work approximately 60 hours per week (12‑hour days, Monday to Saturday). Winter Schedule: The hours will scale back to a consistent 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday). You must be able to work away from home for 1–2 weeks at a time. All hotel accommodation will be paid for by the company. You will receive a generous living away from home allowance of $104 per day you are away. The company provides Verification of Competency (VOC) training for all operators, making this a great opportunity for those with new licences. Mandatory Drug & Alcohol Testing. You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test. Requirements Must hold a valid HC Truck Licence . Previous experience as a roller operator is an advantage, but we are willing to train candidates with new licences who have the right attitude. You must be able to work away for extended periods and adapt to the seasonal schedule. A positive, can‑do attitude and a strong work ethic are the most important requirements.
