We have multiple positions available for reliable, dedicated individuals with the right attitude to join our Spray Seal Crew, with roles focused on both Labouring, HC Truck and Roller Operation. Based out of beautiful Wagga, this is a fantastic Temp-to-Perm opportunity with extensive in-house training, perfect for someone fresh out of school with a car licence and a white card or an experienced worker looking for a new challenge. About the Role This is a dynamic, hands-on role contributing to the construction and maintenance of roads. Your excellent attitude and commitment to teamwork are the most important assets to be successful in this role. You will perform a mix of labouring (shovelling, cleaning, setting up/packing up sites) and operating duties. Truck drivers and roller operators will also be required to labour. Full in-house training is provided. Supervisors are also assessors, meaning you will receive formal logbook training and observation before operating machinery full-time. There is ample room for long-term career growth within the company. Pre-starts and site documentation are completed online using company-provided iPads. This means you must be able to work autonomously in the role. All machinery and trucks are air-conditioned with fridges for your lunch, but the work is primarily outdoors and physically demanding. Schedule & Remuneration This is a seasonal business, requiring high dedication during the warmer months and offering flexibility in winter. Season Peak (Oct – June) : 6 days/week (Mon‑Sat), 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts). Grade 3 (Basic/New Starter): $41.70 per hour Grade 5 (HC Licence/Experienced): $46.40 per hour Winter/Off-Peak: Hours are flexible and generally shorter days. Most employees take time off to go skiing or holidaying during this time. Living Away Allowance (LAHA): $120 per day when away. Accommodation: When working away (usually up to one week a month depending on requirements, typically one hour from Wagga), accommodation is provided with private rooms . Requirements Current car licence and white card (Construction Induction) is essential. A fantastic, positive, can-do attitude is the most important requirement . Must be to undergo a full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test before commencing work, with random testing conducted onsite.
