Senior Functional Consultant – Financials Location: Australia (NSW, VIC, QLD); Remote: Flex; Full Time | Posted Today | Job Requisition ID: JR- About the Team Workday’s APAC Financials team builds outstanding customer experiences by delivering innovative consulting services that help customers, partners, and employees maximize the Workday financial system. About the Role We are seeking a hardworking, innovative, and collaborative Financials Functional Consultant to join our team. In this role you will ensure the successful implementation of the Workday Financials solution with customers through product and implementation expertise. Responsibilities Work closely with the customer’s project team to design, configure, and deploy functional requirements. Become an expert in the Workday Financial Management product suite. Understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through prototype development, and assist the client in testing the solution. Help convert legacy data into Workday. Assist the integration consulting to configure and test integrations between Workday and third‑party/custom solutions. Use Workday’s Implementation Methodology on all engagements. Mentor new consultants. Ensure the client adopts Workday best practices and is referenceable upon go‑live. Maintain product expertise and Workday certification(s) and keep up with the Workday roadmap. Provide the Engagement Manager with status reports and overall project status updates. About You – Qualifications 6+ years implementing financial/accounting ERP solutions (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, Lawson) as a consultant or customer. Previous consulting experience with a consulting or software company. Functional expertise in at least one of: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Asset Management, Projects, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, or Budgeting. Passion for customer service. Validated project management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong business analysis and requirements‑gathering abilities. Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self‑training. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is a plus. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required. Workday Financials expertise. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. Required Australian Government security clearance at the appropriate level.
