Company: Cock & Bull Cairns, Cairns, Qld Contract Details: Full-time; Salary $75,000 to $80,000 per annum plus super. Cock & Bull Cairns is seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and high-quality dishes that will delight our customers and keep them coming back for more. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to restaurant recipes and standards. Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented in a timely and efficient manner. Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times. Requirements Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Certificate IV/Diploma in Cookery is preferable. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Attention to detail and a passion for creating high‑quality dishes. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Availability to work weekends and evenings as required.
