Maintenance Fitter – Food

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to help us keep our fast-paced, high-performing food manufacturing facility running smoothly and safely. This hands‑on role is key to maintaining equipment reliability, supporting production efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across the site. This is to work with a leading food and beverage manufacturer that have large sites in Victoria and all across Australia. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across production and facility equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a timely and safe manner. Contribute to site projects, continuous improvement, and maintenance planning. Support production teams with autonomous maintenance tasks and SHEQ compliance. Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist in parts and stock control. Manage both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks efficiently. What we are Looking For Trade qualified Fitter with 2+ years’ experience in an automated food manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems (FMECA experience a plus). Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards. Confident working with automated lines, utilities (boilers, refrigeration, compressors), and ERP/CMMS systems. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
