The Role We are looking for a motivated and proactive Maintenance Fitter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance and be able to identify faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime. If you have a mechanical trade qualification, experience in a fast-paced food and beverage processing environment, and excellent problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities Identify faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and micro-stops Inspect, test, and maintain machinery and equipment in process and packaging areas Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on general plant and building maintenance work Install and commission new equipment Undertake specific project work, such as building prototypes and refurbishing aging equipment Conduct machine/product changeovers Prioritise breakdown and PM activities within the weekly schedule Perform tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, or their designates We're looking for someone with Mechanical trade qualification (minimum Certificate III or equivalent) Experience in a fast-paced food and beverage processing environment (FMCG) Understanding of computerised maintenance management systems Site services experience (steam boilers, air compressors, wastewater treatment plants) Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and spare parts manuals Practical mechanical experience in the usage of hand and power tools Welding experience (MAW and TIG welding highly desired) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication skills Hands-on approach and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Eligibility to work in Australia Desirable Forklift license Confined space entry license Work at Heights training Experience with automation or robotics Computer skills (Microsoft suite, computerised maintenance management system) Why Join Us?
