About Kids' Early Learning Here at Council, we own and operate a childcare business, Kids’ Early Learning, with a portfolio of 24 Childcare and Preschool centres, 8 Out of School Care services and over 70 family daycare educators. Kids’ Early Learning has approximately 300 full-time, part-time and casual staff, and operates throughout the Blacktown local government area, serving over 2000 families and providing care and learning needs for their children. If you would like to know more about Kids' Early Learning, please visit our website. About the opportunity We are seeking to fill 3 x OSHC Child Care Aide positions on a permanent, full-time basis. These roles requires to work 5-days per week requiring to work a split-shift in the AM and PM. These positions are located in the following: Kids' Early Learning Blackett OSHC Kids' Early Learning Marayong South OSHC Kids' Early Learning Willmot OSHC An ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing a programme of developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a high standard of care for the group of children assigned, in consultation with the Coordinator and other staff. Qualifications and experience Essential: Diploma in Community Services (Children’s Services) or equivalent as specified in the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2018 Completion of Child Protection Course - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk of harm Current certificate HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Current certificate HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Current certificate HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting or Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training certificate that meets requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulation 2018 Working with Children Check clearance valid for paid work. Desirable: A minimum of 12 months relevant work experience Current Class C Driver’s Licence Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations Computer literate Demonstrated commitment to customer service Ability to work within a team environment Availability to work flexible working hours. Remuneration and benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
