About The Hospital The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children’s Campus, provides a full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services and tertiary care for the most critically ill patients. About The Role Permanent Full‑time position (80 hrs per fortnight) or Part‑time (48 hrs per fortnight) at the Immunisation Centre and Pharmacy Department. Responsibilities include monitoring and ordering vaccine supply, providing advice through the telephone advice line, dispensing and counselling medicines, conducting medication reviews, liaising with other health professionals, maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with hospital policies. Classification Range: SW5 – SX5. What You’ll Achieve Deliver evidence‑based pharmaceutical care in immunisation services, including patient assessment, vaccine preparation, administration and post‑vaccination monitoring. Provide pharmacy services across inpatient, outpatient clinics and ambulatory care settings where immunisations are administered. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, consent forms, vaccination records and adverse event reports in line with pharmacy practice standards and RCH procedures. Your Skills and Experience Bachelor of Pharmacy. Registered to practice as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and named on the Pharmacy Board of Australia register. Successful completion of a recognised “Immuniser” program of study (Grade 2). Other Requirements Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain. Valid Working with Children Check. Compliance with RCH’s “Staff Immunisation – Prevention of Vaccine‑Preventable Diseases” procedure.
