The Role To support our continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic, professional Key Account Manager to drive technical sales and deliver exceptional customer support for ABT products within a defined region or customer portfolio. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure revenue and profitability growth, while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities in collaboration with Business Development Managers. You will gather and analyse market and competitor insights, providing clear, actionable information to support strategic decision‑making. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for effectively sharing insights and fostering lasting customer partnerships. What You’ll Do The Key Account Manager is responsible for: Regular face‑to‑face customer engagement (minimum 3 days per week travel) to build relationships and drive sales. Developing key account plans and strategic engagement sessions with senior leadership. Achieving monthly sales targets and identifying new opportunities through technical discussions. Maintaining accurate customer and product data in CRM. Collecting detailed market and competitor insights. Conducting spare parts inventory audits and leading quarterly performance reviews with customers. Supporting warranty claims, collaborating on product development and part failure analysis. Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and effective cross‑functional communication. Demonstrating teamwork, continuous learning, and flexibility to travel as required. The Team Reporting to the Lead Key Account Manager, the Key Account Manager works closely with Customers, Operations & Engineering, Sales & Marketing and Distributors. What We’re Looking For The successful candidate should demonstrate the following Essential and Desirable characteristics: Significant experience in a technical sales role (or equivalent) within the Mining Sector. Minesite operations or maintenance experience with underground operations preferred. Experience with commercial negotiations and pricing structures to mining customers within Australia. Demonstrated ability to read technical documents including drawing specifications and standards and convey the intention to an engineering team. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaborate as part of a team. Demonstrated organisational skills such as time management, record keeping and high attention to detail. Technical qualification (mechanical trade or engineering qualifications) preferred. What You’ll Receive The successful candidate can expect to receive: Participation in a Short Term Incentive scheme.
