AME System is a specialist manufacturer of modular aluminium workstations, production systems, and ergonomic industrial solutions. We are a small, high-performing team known for our precision, custom engineering, and hands‑on approach. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a confident Industrial Designer who takes ownership, leads with initiative, and communicates effectively with both customers and internal teams. About the Role This position is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility and wants to see projects through from concept to completion. You will lead design work, manage customer requirements, and help shape solutions used across manufacturing, defence, medical, logistics, and other technical environments. Role Responsibilities Lead design projects—from early concepts to final manufacturing documentation Work directly with customers, presenting ideas confidently and gathering accurate requirements Collaborate with management, sales, and production to ensure successful project delivery Produce high-quality CAD models, drawings, and visualisations Manage timelines and maintain accountability for project deadlines Provide rendering, visual content, and occasional website/online store updates Contribute to brand development and continuous improvement within the design team Travel locally and interstate when required for site visits and client meetings Ideal Applicant Experience in Industrial Design and/or Project Management Tertiary qualification in Industrial or Product Design Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead tasks independently Strong organisational and time‑management abilities Growth mindset—proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn Creative problem‑solving skills within technical design environments Proficiency in Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Photoshop, and InDesign Bonus: Understanding of aluminium extrusions, modular design systems, or manufacturing environments (not essential but advantageous) Why Join AME System?
