Specialist Production Supervisor Location: Iona, Victoria Benefits Competitive remuneration of $90,000 + superannuation. Great working environment and ability to contribute to the success of the company. Diverse array of responsibilities. Task & Responsibilities Production & Dispatch Liaise with wholesale and retail customers regarding orders and order requirements. Analyse current and forecasted customer demand to enable accurate production and planting schedules. Process customer orders. Quality inspections of produce and packaging. Manage dispatch, including liaison with delivery persons. Supervise production/process staff to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policy and packaging requirements. Manage consumables and stock levels, placing future orders where required to ensure demand is met. Crop Care Work closely with management to determine new planting requirements (ie. locations, product etc). Check seedlings and plant material prior to and post planting to ensure optimum quality. Manage activity, resource allocations and scheduling for crop harvesting. Staff Supervision Manage resource allocation and rostering for all harvesting and production activities. Manage and maintain appropriate staffing levels. Ensure all timekeeping is accurate and reflective. Manage staff leave. Supervise both the harvesting and rostering process, ensuring all staff are working safely, meeting legislated requirements and food safety regulations. Qualification & Experience The ideal candidates for these opportunities will have: AQF Certificate III OR a minimum of two years recent and relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification. Experience in all responsibilities listed above. Demonstrated strong commitment to excellence and quality. Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills. Experience in the supervision of production / processing teams. Ability to work effectively, respectfully and collegially in a team environment. A strong horticulture knowledge specific to both herbs and edible flowers (preferred). A passion for the industry.
