The business operates a large fleet of cranes supporting the construction industry and major tier 1 projects. About the Role A hands-on leadership position overseeing all day-to-day yard operations, equipment readiness, and workflow coordination. You'll manage between 10-20 trade and yard staff, ensure all equipment is maintained and dispatched on schedule, and act as the first point of contact for clients when issues arise. This is a critical operational role with an immediate start available for the right person. Salary package $150k-$200k + super + vehicle Join a respected industry leader with long-term stability Autonomy to influence yard operations and processes Supportive senior leadership Responsibilities Oversee all yard operations including equipment preparation, servicing and dispatch Lead and mentor 10-20 yard and trade personnel Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, and ready for deployment Act as the first point of contact for clients for breakdowns and servicing Manage scheduling, planning, and coordination of yard workflows Maintain safety compliance and operational documentation Drive process improvement, efficiency, and yard organisation Skills & Experience Ideal backgrounds include: Crane industry experience (mobile, crawler, tower or heavy lift contractor environment) Heavy lift & shift or specialised transport/equipment operations Yard or operations management in heavy equipment or machinery industries You will bring: Strong leadership and people management experience High level of organisation and planning ability Technical aptitude (trade background useful but not essential) Strong problem-solving and operational judgement Excellent communication and client management skills How to Apply If you have strong experience in cranes, heavy equipment, or yard operations and want to step into a key leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.
