Metcash Senior P&C Business Partner – Food Pillar Metcash is Australia and New Zealand’s leading independent retail partner and wholesaler in the food, liquor, hardware, and tools industries, with $19.5 billion in sales (FY25). We support our network with marketing, purchasing, warehousing, distribution and systems support. About the Opportunity Based in Truganina, you will act as a Senior P&C Business Partner for the Food Pillar, working closely with senior leaders across NSW, VIC, SA, and QLD. You will collaborate with logistics and state sales teams to design and deliver people strategies that drive commercial outcomes, champion change, coach leaders and support three key portfolios within the Food business. Responsibilities Partner with leaders to align workforce strategy with business priorities and outcomes Lead change initiatives alongside significant growth agendas Drive workforce planning, talent development, and succession strategies for critical roles Drive culture and people experience changes, ensuring people are highly engaged, supported and thriving Build leadership capability to drive great culture, performance and enable future growth Champion a performance culture focused on delivery, engagement, and continuous improvement Work collaboratively with central and shared HR functions, ensuring they deliver efficient and valued services Activate and implement nation and enterprise‑wide P&C initiatives Qualifications Experience in People & Culture within a generalist or business‑partnering capacity Focus on culture, leadership, talent pipelines and strong people experience Strong expertise in organisational change, cultural transformation, and workforce planning Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment (FMCG experience highly regarded) Demonstrated success building stakeholder relationships across diverse levels and functions; ability to coach, influence and develop senior leaders Experience in organisations that leverage shared services is highly regarded Resilient, agile, solutions‑oriented with a passion for delivering impactful results Flexibility to travel interstate regularly, supporting teams across multiple states What’s on Offer ️ Extra Leave: 5th week of annual leave, 2 well‑being days, plus 1 volunteer day annually Career Growth: Endless learning and development opportunities Parental Leave: 12 weeks of gender‑neutral paid leave for primary carers
