Administrative Officer – Disability Support (Work From Home) This role supports the day-to-day operations of Southern Supports Tasmania through a wide range of administrative and coordination duties. Responsibilities Managing emails, phone enquiries and documentation. Assisting with staff rosters, timesheets and NDIS portal data. Preparing invoices, service agreements and correspondence. Maintaining accurate client and participant records. Providing administrative support to management and the wider team. Ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and confidentiality obligations. Hours 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday (24 hours/week). Days may be negotiable for the right candidate (e.g. Monday – Wednesday). About You We are seeking a proactive, organised and confident employee who is preferably experienced within the NDIS sector or willing to learn, and someone who is comfortable working independently in a home-based role. You must have strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Although the position is advertised as casual we are seeking to invest in the right candidate for the role for long term employment and are willing to offer a permanent position pending a successful probationary period of 3 months. Essential Qualifications and Experience Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Community Services, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative role (NDIS, community or disability sector preferred). Excellent computer literacy – Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with NDIS or CRM systems (e.g. ShiftCare, Xero, etc.). High attention to detail and strong time-management skills. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tas). Current National Police Check (issued within the past 12 months). Highly Regarded Experience working within the NDIS or community services sector. Familiarity with Tasmanian service networks and local context. Applicants residing in or near Kingston, Tasmania are strongly preferred. What We Offer Casual hourly rate $55.73 (inc. 25% loading) under the SCHADS Award Level 4.1. Company-supplied laptop, phone and computer software. Work/life balance and opportunity for permanent part-time conversion after a minimum 3-month probationary period.
