Physiotherapist - Grade 2 (Aged & Complex Care) Physical therapy services in our Aged and Complex Care stream, supporting patient and family centred care in a Grade 2 position. Employment Details Employment Type: Fixed Term, Full Time until August 2026 Salary: Grade 2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging Location: Footscray Hospital About The Role The role includes rotations in Acute Aged Care, Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM), and Bed Based Transition Care Program (TCP). You will provide physiotherapy to patients across Footscray, Sunshine, and Williamstown campuses, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver best care for conditions such as respiratory illnesses, heart failure, post‑fall management, functional decline, frailty and complex comorbidities. In Acute Aged Care, you will use your skills in discharge planning, person‑centred care, and teamwork to support a variety of patient cohorts. In GEM or Bed Based TCP you will further develop rehabilitation and discharge planning skills, including the use of aquatic physiotherapy in our on‑site hydrotherapy pool. About You Well‑developed clinical skills for acute medical clinical area with a focus on complex discharge planning and aged‑related conditions. Hospital experience required. Interest in supervising and training physiotherapy staff and students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborative teamwork with physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams.
