Executive Director, Training and Workforce Innovation

Executive Director, Training and Workforce Innovation Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead AUSMASA’s national portfolio for training product development, workforce pathways, and system capability uplift. As a senior leader in vocational education, you will shape how industry needs are reflected in qualifications, skill sets, micro‑credentials, and non‑accredited learning, and ensure those solutions are implemented across the VET system. What you’ll lead The design and development of qualifications, skill sets, micro‑credentials, and other training products that reflect contemporary industry need. Workforce pathways that support upskilling, reskilling, mobility, and lifelong learning. Implementation support with RTOs and employers to ensure training can be delivered well, consistently, and at scale. The ongoing evolution of the VET system, including qualifications reform, quality improvement, and strengthening work‑based learning models. Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) and industry co‑design processes that bring diverse voices into decision‑making. Cross‑functional collaboration across AUSMASA to drive integrated impact aligned to the 2025–2028 Strategic Plan. About You You bring deep understanding of VET structures, training product development, and system reform, a track record of shaping or delivering training solutions with industry, confidence leading cross‑functional teams, strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, a systems mindset, and a personal commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and meaningful workforce participation.
