We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Grounds person to join our team and help us keep our grounds in tip-top shape. Due to growth, we are seeking a motivated Permanent Full time Groundskeeper to join the team at our Palm Lake Resort Beachmere Bay on the Sunshine Coast. Working between Monday to Friday on a 38-hour week roster with a close-knit team. As the Grounds person you will play an integral role to ensure the presentation of the resort grounds is kept to a high standard all year-round maintaining standards with weeding and watering common areas, hedge trimming, mowing & whipper snipping, planting, mulching and maintaining flowers and shrubs, and maintaining outside presentation of our golf course and the overall facilities within the resort including pool maintenance. Responsibilities Mowing, edging and whipper snipping. Maintaining the 9-hole golf course. Planting of flowers and shrubs, preparation of soils, trimming trees, plants and bushes, control weeds and pests through the application of herbicides. Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation. Maintain excellent presentation of common grounds, including watering and maintenance of irrigation systems. Ensure all garden areas are kept neat, tidy and free of rubbish. Vacuuming/blowing car parks, roadways and steps. Keeping outdoors areas, shared zones, furniture and BBQ clean. Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order, and report any details of breakdowns, losses or problems to management immediately. Qualifications & Experience Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous. Relevant gardening experience in a similar role. Experience in golf course maintenance will be highly regarded but not essential. Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower. Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying. Motivated, enthusiastic and can work with limited supervision. ADCD chemical licence is advantageous.
