Clinical Nurse – Breastfeeding Support Service (North Metropolitan Area) Child and Adolescent Health Service WA – Greenwood WA CRVCID. This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment available, for up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. A Child Health Certificate and current valid driver’s licence are required for this role. This role is based across multiple Child Health Centres including Greenwood, Joondalup, Midland Hub and Lockridge, with some home visiting required. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse with a commitment to promoting breastfeeding, child health, and early intervention to join our North Metropolitan Breastfeeding Support Service. You will play a key role in promoting infant health and wellbeing by delivering high-quality breastfeeding support services to families referred by Child Health Nurses. Promoting the health and well‑being of children and families using evidence‑based, preventative and early intervention approaches that reflect social determinants of health. Conducting holistic assessments of infants and families, planning and implementing nursing care based on health needs, goals and service priorities. Providing high‑quality breastfeeding education, support and health promotion to individuals and groups. Communicating effectively with families and community networks, strengthening partnerships and encouraging participation. Acting as a resource for nursing staff, students and colleagues by supporting the development of clinical and organisational skills within your scope of practice. Participating in clinical governance, policy development, service evaluation and continuous quality improvement activities. Contributing to evidence‑based practice, nursing research and quality improvement initiatives within Child and Adolescent Community Health. Eligibility: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. Fixed term contracts can be held by individuals on visas that allow working rights within Australia. Sponsorship is not currently available for this role.
