Disability Support Worker

Overview Disability Support Worker — Casual and Permanent Part Time Location: Glendale and Newcastle region Must have a full NSW Drivers Licence and full comprehensive insurance Personal care is required and you must be confident providing it 2+ years experience What you will be doing Supporting daily living skills including cooking, domestic tasks and social skills Providing personal care including showering, toileting, feeding and dressing Mentoring customers to explore interests, hobbies and cultural activities Assisting with community participation and recreation programs Administering medication safely and following individual support plans Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports Offering support in the home and the community Using diabetes knowledge and PEG feeding skills if required (training ideal) Why you will love working with us Supportive and inclusive team culture Ongoing training and development Hourly rate based on the SCHADS Award Meaningful work that makes a real difference What you will bring Availability for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and awake shifts Strong communication skills with verbal and non verbal customers Strong computer skills are essential for daily documentation, reporting, and communication Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 Qualifications in Disability or Community Services are an advantage For more information on these requirements, please consider contacting us.
