Group Fitness Instructor | Norths Fitness About the role: Norths Fitness, conveniently located at Cammeray, offers one of the most diverse Group Fitness Timetables on the Lower North Shore with over 80 classes per week, including: Tap, Yoga, Pilates, Boxing, Zumba, Les Mills group fitness programs, Cycle, Barre Fusion, and a range of dance styles. We are searching for a Powerhouse Instructor to join our exciting award‑winning timetable Winners of the 2024 local business awards for most Outstanding Fitness Services on Sydney’s North Shore. The candidate will have outstanding abilities to lead a team within our facility whether that’s on the rooftop or boxing in the studio. Joining Norths Fitness means you are part of Norths Collective which includes Norths Cammeray, The Alcott Lane Cove, The Greens North Sydney, The Verandah Beecroft, Seagulls at Tweed Heads, Revs Health & Fitness, and The Bowlo Bangalow. Your Key Priorities will be: Instruct classes as per Norths Fitness timetable Train and lead the team of group fitness instructors Deliver exercise sessions designed for participation by a group of clients with a mix of ages/fitness levels (not tailored to individuals) Work together with the team to attain business goals and targets Create an exciting and inspiring environment for members Welcome members by name and build great rapport Inspire and promote an energetic environment The Candidate: A private certification in a pre‑choreographed group exercise program that has been approved by AUSactive, such as Les Mills, Radical Fitness, Zumba, MYND Tribe Fitness or MOSSA. Group Exercise Leaders are qualified to lead predesigned group exercise sessions. Certificate III in Fitness (preferred not essential) Current First Aid (HTLAID011) and CPR (HTLAID009) Certificates Valid Employee Working with Children’s Check Great attitude, polite, professional and courteous manner AQUA Instructors: HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace health and safety. SISCAQU002 – Perform basic water rescues. SISFFIT022 – Instruct aquatic sessions for specific population groups. SISFFIT008 – Instruct water‑based fitness activities. SISFFIT004 – Incorporate anatomy and physiology principles into fitness programming.
