If you don\u2019t see an opportunity in your area, please call or email Responsibilities Assist taking residents (on our bus with a staff member) to a local Children’s Centre, helping them engage with the preschool children (sing, dance, read stories, play games, etc.). A Working with Children Check is required. Your impact Your impact – Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation. About HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we\u2019re passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
