The Role: As a Technical Specialist (Azure), you will provide high-level technical expertise in the development, implementation, and support of ICT infrastructure. This role focuses on Azure administration, automation, and proactive system management to ensure stability, security, and scalability across a complex enterprise environment. Responsibilities Deliver senior-level technical expertise across Azure, Entra, and enterprise cloud platforms, ensuring stability and performance. Proactively monitor, tune, and optimise ICT systems to enhance efficiency and reliability. Conduct capacity planning and recommend scalable infrastructure improvements to meet future business needs. Manage hybrid Exchange Online and Active Directory environments while maintaining robust cyber security and vulnerability controls. Develop, document, and refine operational standards, procedures, and technical documentation. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic advice through reports, briefings, and stakeholder collaboration. Skills & Experience Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Azure and Entra configuration, management, and optimisation. Strong background in Microsoft Active Directory administration, including 3rd level support in large enterprise environments. Proven ability to automate and streamline administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting. Hands‑on experience with Azure Landing Zones, Cloud Adoption Framework, and hybrid Exchange Online environments. Skilled in DevOps practices, Infrastructure-as-Code deployment, and PKI/certificate management. Knowledge of ITSM processes, technical change management, and transitioning services from project delivery to operational support. Work within a major digital transformation program. Contribute to meaningful public sector technology initiatives. Collaborative and flexible working environment.
