Career progression Due to their experience and training, our graduates can progress their careers very quickly. Eighty-seven percent of graduates completing the program stay on to be employed by the Queensland Government post-program. Our graduates' salaries can increase up to $27,000 (based at AO5 level) or more after completing the 2-year program. 1. As an indicator, the minimum AO3 rate under the State Government Entities Certified Agreements 2023 as at 1 July 2025 is $76,217. 2. In this role, you will help government business areas understand what digital technologies can offer. A technology (ICT) generalist graduate can fulfil many roles and should possess general business knowledge and good soft skills. Responsibilities Responsibilities in a technology (ICT) generalistrole may include: contributing to a wide variety of support roles such as service desk, software and desktop support connecting the needs of the agency with technology opportunities providing research, analysis and provide advice on trends to inform decisions translating technical information into plain English for business needs contributing to writing briefs, submissions, reports, presentations and correspondence working with people to create change and help the technology challenged. Ideal candidates Ideal candidates for a technology (ICT) generalistrole will have: an interest in existing technology and emerging technology good people and organisational skills the ability to work and contribute in a team environment a high level of interpersonal, communication and liaison skills the ability to self-manage conflicting priorities and workloads the ability to produce detailed and accurate work including high level writing skills. Eligibility To be eligible for the Digital Graduate Program, you must: Have completed (or will complete) a Bachelor’s, Graduate Certificate, or Master’s degree between January-2023 and December 2026. If you have an overseas qualification, it must be recognised in Australia prior to applying.
