Job Description - Various positions - Grade 5/6 Officers - Electoral Operations Group (0000B5AS) Various positions - Grade 5/6 Officers - Electoral Operations Group - 0000B5AS Three (3) permanent vacancies Exciting opportunity to make a real impact on democracy Collaborate and build impactful relationships in a dynamic team environment About the Role Our Elections Operations Group has three teams, Election Participation, Election Readiness and Election Delivery, responsible for providing transparent and end to end electoral services for the state of New South Wales. We currently have three (3) Ongoing Full‑time positions available including: Nominations and Regulatory Services Officer To assist the Lead Nominations and Regulatory Services to plan, implement and co‑ordinate a number of processes and support the operation in the lead up to and during election events. Election Participation Officer The Election Participation Officer is responsible for assisting and supporting the Nominations and Regulatory Services team to plan, implement and co‑ordinate the communication of key messages and information and procedures to political participants in the lead up to and during an election. The role also provides operational support as required to the Nominations and Regulatory Services team. For further information regarding the role please download the Role Description. Non‑Attendance Officer The purpose of the Non‑Attendance Officer is to assist the Voting Services teams to plan, implement and co‑ordinate a number of projects relevant to election events. Running and regulating elections Communicating and engaging with current and future voters, key NSW community stakeholders and NSW election participants; and Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral and lobbying laws such as the Electoral Act 2017 and the Electoral Funding Act 2018. Sound organisation and time management skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Effective computer skills and experience in using different business systems. Demonstrated client focus and strong client service skills. Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners. Satisfactory criminal record check result. This role is based in our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office, leading into election time, you will be expected to be in the office full‑time and possibly work in other locations across NSW based on business requirements.
