Leading company within the renewable energy sector looking for a highly experienced Financial Controller to strengthen governance, improve financial control, and support executive decision‑making. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the COO, this role will provide leadership across a growing international group and is designed as a pathway to Finance Director as the business scales globally. Key Responsibilities Lead financial control across all Group entities — Australia, India, Europe, and the US. Own the month‑end close, reconciliation processes, intercompany accounting, consolidation, and statutory reporting. Deliver timely, accurate management reporting, cash flow forecasts, and performance insights for the CEO and COO. Strengthen treasury and working capital governance, including oversight of our expanding credit book and prepayment programs. Implement strong controls for high‑volume transactional activity (STCs, VEECs, ESCs). Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions with external advisers. Support the CEO and COO with financial analysis, risk assessment, structure planning, and investor readiness. Enhance governance, internal controls, policy frameworks, and financial risk management across all entities. Maintain complete oversight of entity structures, company secretarial requirements, and cross‑border compliance. Ensure global accounting practices align with client governance standards and investor expectations. Improve automation, reporting systems, and data integrity across international entities. Work with technology teams to embed financial controls, reporting feeds, and risk oversight into operational systems. Develop scalable financial processes suitable for a global, multi‑entity organisation. Governance, Risk & Executive Support Support the CEO and COO with financial analysis, risk assessment, structure planning, and investor readiness. Enhance governance, internal controls, policy frameworks, and financial risk management across all entities. Maintain complete oversight of entity structures, company secretarial requirements, and cross‑border compliance. Ensure global accounting practices align with client governance standards and investor expectations. Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement Improve automation, reporting systems, and data integrity across international entities. Work with technology teams to embed financial controls, reporting feeds, and risk oversight into operational systems. Develop scalable financial processes suitable for a global, multi‑entity organisation. Experience & Qualifications 10+ years’ progressive finance experience, including 3–5 years in a Financial Controller or similar senior role. Strong technical accounting foundation — CA/CPA qualified. Experience in technology, trading, fintech, energy, or other high‑volume financial environments. Proven experience with international entities, cross‑border accounting, and multi‑jurisdiction compliance (India, EU, US highly valued). Exposure to corporate restructuring, investment readiness, or M&A. Strong treasury, cash flow, and risk management experience.
