We're Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar, your go-to destination for fine dining by the beautiful Noosa River. Nestled in a secluded pocket of Noosaville, our vibrant 120-seat restaurant offers a stunning setting for everything from romantic dinners to unforgettable celebrations. Our menu is distinctively Italian, showcasing the best of local produce and complemented by an extensive wine list featuring Italian and international selections. We're passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests and pride ourselves on warm, attentive service. We're currently on the hunt for a passionate, creative, and experienced Chef to join our team on a casual basis. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality environment and loves delivering exceptional food experiences, we’d love to hear from you. Job tasks and responsibilities Applicants must have the ability to handle a vast range of responsibilities, team leadership and a passion for food, Knowledge of Italian cuisine desirable. Duties include but are not limited to: Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes as per our standards Assist with daily prep, stock rotation, and portion control Ensure patron satisfaction & experience by delivering dishes to expectation monitoring quality at all times Monitoring stock level, preservation and rotation/ordering accordingly to ensure minimal wastage Take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen Assisting and training kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation, ingredients and cooking techniques Work closely with the Head Chef and operators to ensure consistency and quality Ensuring health regulations are met at all times by all kitchen staff Skills and experience Possess at least one year of experience in a similar role Be consistent and able to work well in a team Be able to perform well under pressure Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work within a team and autonomously.
