Join a tenured team with an exceptionally experienced and supportive Payroll ManagerBrisbane Southern suburbs with free parking and public transport accessHybrid working arrangements - 2 days WFHLearning and development opportunitiesReputable employer with excellent employee retention About the role Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your key duties will include a focus on ensuring accuracy and compliance in all payroll‑related financial processes. Responsibilities Own the end‑to‑end reconciliation of all payroll‑related general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of variances Prepare and distribute detailed payroll reports Support the Manager with month‑end and year‑end payroll processes including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliation sign‑offs Ensure strict compliance with all relevant tax regulations, legislative changes, and internal controls (e.g. superannuation, PAYG / tax reporting, leave liabilities) Conduct regular audits of payroll data to maintain integrity and proactively identify data inconsistencies or errors Collaborate closely with the wider Payroll and Finance teams to streamline data flows and improve reporting efficiency Act as a point of contact for internal and external auditors regarding payroll financial data and reporting Develop and maintain up‑to‑date documentation for all reconciliation and reporting procedures About you You are either a highly experienced payroll professional with a solid background in payroll reconciliations and reporting or a Senior Payroll Officer with knowledge and exposure to payroll accounting principles. Qualifications & Experience 5+ years experience in payroll Experience in a high volume payroll team Experience using a large system (SAP, Chris21 / iChris, Aurion, etc.) Solid experience with reconciliations Background or degree in accounting (desirable, however not essential) Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Full and unlimited working rights To be considered for this position please hit 'Apply' or if you have any questions, please contact Allyce McAnally, Principal.
