Data Center Operations designs, installs and maintains the world’s largest Computing Infrastructure. Our scope of work includes systems, repairing, dealing with issues, handling and tracking parts and assisting in Data Center maintenance. Amazon Data Centers are large‑scale high‑density centers where you will help change the face of Technology in the region. Key job responsibilities Maintain a high level of system (Server/Network) reliability by prioritizing and resolving trouble tickets efficiently Share knowledge and help educate less technical staff on the best practices in Data Center Operations Be a technical escalation point for other team members Participate in and deliver on high impact projects Contribute to, and improve on operational efficiency Additional role requirements This role may involve bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely 24/7 shift coverage is required and includes 12 hour rotating shifts. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of server hardware management, network management and troubleshooting experience Experience with Network Hardware: Copper and Optical Fiber Cabling, Switches, Routers Experience with storage subsystems Linux administration knowledge and experience. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher in an IT‑related field with applicable certifications or/and equivalent professional or military experience Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment) Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications Acknowledgement of country:In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
