About the work unit / facility The Palliative Care Unit at Townsville University Hospital provides specialist care for patients with life‑limiting illnesses. Our interdisciplinary team delivers compassionate, person‑centred care through inpatient and outreach services, supporting patients and families during challenging times. Competitive salary and benefits Salary between $35.92-$38.12 per hour (Nurse Grade 3). 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading. About your opportunity As an Enrolled Nurse in the Palliative Care Unit, you will provide compassionate, evidence‑based care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will support patients and families, contribute to care planning, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver best practice outcomes. Requirements Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification. Current registration with AHPRA and a valid practising certificate. Evidence of vaccination or immunity for VPDs as per Queensland Health policy. Ability to work all shifts in accordance with roster requirements. A probationary period may apply.
