About the Role Reporting to the Group People Manager, this role supports our national network during a time of operational growth, along with HRIM system implementation and extensive process improvements. You’ll partner with operational leaders to provide practical, strategic ER advice, build leadership capability, and play a key role in rolling out a new enterprise-wide system while driving continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also lead people‑focused projects that enhance our culture and strengthen the way we work across the business. Key Responsibilities Partner with leaders to provide strategic ER advice to enable performance and foster a positive culture. Coach leaders through employee relations matters, change processes, and organisational transitions, ensuring compliance and practical outcomes. Lead people initiatives, including process improvements, workforce development, and succession planning. Partner with senior management to execute a rostering and labour allocation project to optimise productivity and profitability through the cycles. Support interstate teams, balancing region‑specific needs with national consistency. Anticipate and resolve emerging issues to maintain a fair and productive workplace. Collaborate with the broader People/Recruitment team to deliver integrated solutions. About You You’re a tenacious self‑starter who takes ownership and thrives in a fast‑paced, changeable environment. Known for your energy and reliability, you balance people‑first outcomes with commercial thinking. With a reputation for delivering what you promise, you bring initiative, creativity, and the ability to influence stakeholders at every level. Key Attributes Proven ER experience, ideally in blue‑coloured or operational environments. Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, Awards and EAs. Skilled at juggling competing priorities with exceptional organisational skills. Strong future‑state mindset, with an appetite and resilience to drive change and transformation. Clear and confident communicator with excellent attention to detail. Strong problem‑solving orientation, ability to navigate ambiguity and anticipate issues. Financial and commercial acumen to link ER decisions to business outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in HR/Business (desirable).
