Position Employment Type : Visiting Medical Officer Position Classification : Visiting Medical Officer Requisition ID : REQ Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in Urology to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital Overview We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Urology. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Functional Urology and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Urology Department and Hospital as required. Key Responsibilities Provide and strengthen sub-specialty expertise in the field of functional/ reconstructive urology. Participate in general urology and urodynamic clinics and Multidisciplinary Team meetings. Perform genitourinary reconstructive procedures including female and male slings, artificial urinary sphincter, pelvic floor repair and urethroplasty. Contribute to service development of SLHD functional urology services and LHD-wide urological service models. Ensure high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development. Required Qualifications Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in Urology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition. Completion of a recognised Fellowship program in Functional/Reconstructive Urology. Experience in open and minimally invasive reconstructive/pelvic floor surgery and voiding dysfunction research. Preferred Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year on 2 February 2026 may be considered.
