What is this? Welcome to Nous’ Business Strategy Virtual Experience. Nous Group is an international management consultancy with over 400 people working across Australia, the UK and Canada. We are a values-based organisation that partner with leaders to shape world-class businesses, effective governments and empowered communities. In this virtual experience, you will get a taste of what it is like to work for Nous on a business strategy project. Why should you do this? This Virtual Experience Program is self-paced andshould take only 3 to 5 hoursto complete. This Virtual Experience Program is free for all students. When you complete the Virtual Experience Program, you’ll earn a digital badge and certificate you can share on Linkedin and include on your resume. Throughout the program, you’ll learn and develop deep insights into what it is actually like to work as a business strategist at Nous. Apply your strategical knowledge to a real-world problem & gain practical experience and knowledge to draw upon in interviews. What skills will I gain? Identifying key issues using well-established business frameworks Outlining a market analysis Conducting a simple Net Present Value analysis Providing recommendations and identifying gaps in our diagnostic What you will do? Module 1: Identifying key issues (1 - 1.5 hours) In this module, you will formulate overarching questions and develop a logic tree to help structure your strategic thinking Module 2: Market analysis (1 to 2 hours) Develop your hypothesis on the future market outlook and outline your approach for a market sizing analysis. Module 3: Financial analysis (30 minutes - 1 hour) Perform a simple Net Present Value analysis for each of the company’s products to inform their future production and distribution strategy.
