PMP Group Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia Maintenance Engineer Location : International Site Rotation | Roster : FIFO 6 / 2 Employment Type : Contractor or Employee About the Role PMP Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (mechanical & electrical) with strong SAP PM expertise to support maintenance teams at one of the world's largest copper and gold mining operations in Indonesia. In this role, you will be responsible for uplifting asset strategies and tactics and working with site teams to improve the SAP PM structure and setup, with the ultimate goal of delivering sustainable maintenance excellence practices. You’ll work closely with engineers, planners, SAP master data experts, and key stakeholders to drive improvements in maintenance initiatives and provide ongoing support and coaching during the implementation of new SAP PM functionalities or upgrades. Key Responsibilities Analyse current maintenance strategies and tactics to identify areas for improvement. Develop maintenance tactics (service sheets) for fixed and mobile mining equipment. Support the implementation and adoption of SAP PM best practices for setup, structure and usage for maintenance teams. Provide guidance and support for building and managing core AM data sets, including : Functional Locations, Equipment & BOMs Maintenance Plans, Items & Task Lists Work Centres, Maintenance Strategies & Measure Points Work with SAP master data experts to develop task lists and bills of materials for implementation into SAP. Coach and mentor maintenance team members on effective maintenance management practices. Facilitate workshops with maintenance teams to drive and implement improvements opportunities. Act as a change agent to embed a culture of continuous improvement in maintenance practices. What We’re Looking For 7+ years' experience in maintenance engineering, or a similar role within a heavy industry environment. Trade or engineering background in mechanical or electrical disciplines. Strong working knowledge of SAP PM (ECC & S / 4HANA) and maintenance best practices. Experience in supporting maintenance teams in the implementation of new systems or processes. Excellent facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with teams who speak English as a second language. Ability to work on a 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster preferred with international site travel. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across cultural and operational boundaries.
