Senior Solutions Architect – Public Sector, Public Sector – Federal & NSD Team Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) to apply for the Senior Solutions Architect role at AWS. Overview AWS Solutions Architecture team partners with Australian Government customers to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions. The Senior Solutions Architect will own strategic technical engagements, drive adoption of AWS services, and influence product direction through customer feedback. Key Responsibilities Own technical engagements and drive success around specific implementation projects for public sector customers. Design and architect highly‑scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Consult with senior technical and executive stakeholders to influence long‑term cloud strategy. Lead the practice of crafting best‑practice solutions, providing guidance to customer teams and internal architects. Mentor junior architects and cross‑functional teams on AWS services. Produce technical content (white papers, blogs, workshops) and represent AWS at customer events. Gather and analyze customer feedback to shape AWS products and services. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in technology domain (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 7+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking. Leadership of complex technical projects, coordinating multiple teams. Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive stakeholders. Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers. Experience presenting to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications). Able to create proofs of concept, demos, or scripts from scratch or using reusable components. Experience working with the Australian Government or Federal government. Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences at executive level. Experience delivering technical content at industry events. Deep expertise in AWS services and understanding of how applications are built on the AWS platform.
