You will join a supportive, collaborative multidisciplinary team in the older adult mental health unit, Miri Miri, at Wyong Hospital. The role involves advanced clinical expertise to deliver recovery‑focused assessment and intervention for older adults with diverse mental health and functional needs, and leadership responsibilities such as mentoring junior staff and championing Occupational Therapy within the mental health setting. Responsibilities and Expectations Deliver functional assessment and develop therapeutic care plans for older adults. Provide recovery‑focused individual and group interventions. Lead by example, offering expert guidance and mentoring to junior staff. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and review care. Champion the growth and visibility of Occupational Therapy within the mental health setting. About You Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupation Therapy Board (AHPRA) and a current Working With Children Check (WWCC). Advanced clinical skills and experience in functional assessment and therapeutic care planning. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution. Committed to teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment. Dedicated to delivering high‑quality care with a willingness to learn and adapt. Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen.
