About the Role We are seeking a passionate and qualified Geography teacher to join our dynamic and collaborative teaching team for a temporary position across Terms 1 and 2, 2026. The role is full-time, though a 4-day/week arrangement is also possible for the right candidate. The ideal applicant will have experience or will be willing to teach Stage 4 & 5 Geography, with a strong commitment to fostering student engagement, critical thinking, and geographical inquiry. This role is part of a supportive faculty that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth. We are looking for someone who: Has experience differentiating instruction for single‑sex classes (boys and girls). Is confident in delivering engaging and effective Stage 4 & 5 Geography lessons, with a focus on inquiry-based learning and real‑world relevance. Can integrate technology to enhance student engagement and support interactive learning experiences. Is willing to contribute to faculty discussions , curriculum development, and extra‑curricular programs such as geography competitions or environmental initiatives. Possesses strong communication skills , including proficiency in email and a willingness to develop expertise in the Google Suite . Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective lessons, focusing on geographical concepts, skills, and inquiry. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and success. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic development. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a cohesive and innovative humanities faculty. Participate in professional development to enhance teaching practice and stay current with curriculum expectations. Support extra‑curricular activities related to Geography and environmental awareness. Requirements Relevant teaching qualifications. Passion for teaching and commitment to student success. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with the NSW Curriculum and Assessment framework. Confidence in using email and willingness to develop proficiency in the Google Suite. Working with Children Check clearance.
