Operational Excellence Manager, Amazon Logistics 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Description Exciting new role available for an Operational Excellence Manager to join the ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence Systems) team. Reporting to the Regional ACES Manager, you will drive process excellence within our Amazon Last Mile Delivery business, contributing to the optimisation of Delivery Station operations and providing teams with knowledge and tools to improve performance. This highly collaborative role involves solving complex problems with simple, practical solutions, developing a deep knowledge of operation processes, and creating effective communication plans to provide visibility to all impacted teams to enable overall process alignment. Position will be based in a delivery station (Sydney, NSW), owns transport to the delivery station and requires travel within Australia. Comfortable working across non-traditional shift patterns (nights and weekends) is essential. Key Job Responsibilities Serve as first‑line contact for station management regarding process improvements and benchmarking. Work on effective change processes and contribute to network standardisation via best‑practice sharing. Monitor logistics and delivery success through station and on‑road performance indicators. Develop action plans, execute them, and drive current performance toward benchmark rates. Act as key driver for successful order execution, positively influencing customer satisfaction. Contribute to audit initiatives and support results‑driven action planning. Deploy Process Standard implementations and upgrades within the delivery station, partnering with station management and stakeholders. Develop and continuously pilot process improvements and benchmarking initiatives. Ensure station management understands benchmark rates and is trained in technical configurations to drive accurate reporting and productivity boosts. During peak time, manage day‑to‑day operations of a Delivery Station, leading Operations Supervisors, Operations Assistants, and Delivery Service Providers, and managing external agency relationships and performance. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics. 1+ years of cross‑functional experience with tech and non‑tech teams. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.). Intermediate knowledge of SQL (compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Lean or Six Sigma analytical techniques. Experience with tools/systems to analyse data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems.
