Senior Performance and Planning Officer Join the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) as a Senior Performance and Planning Officer. The Commission was formed on 1 January 2019 and works to improve the lives of older people by maintaining the integrity of the aged care system. As the national regulator, we are engaged in major reforms to safeguard and protect older Australians receiving aged care services. About the Team Enterprise Performance, Assurance and Risk (EPAR) is responsible for developing, embedding, and refining the Commission’s Performance, Audit, Assurance, and Risk frameworks, policies, and procedures to support strategic goals and compliance with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act). EPAR activities include: Coordinating corporate planning and reporting, including the Development and Delivery of the Commission’s Corporate Plan, Performance Measures, and Annual Performance Statements and Annual Report. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and transparent reporting. Ensuring effective identification and management of enterprise risks. Delivering education, training and communication on key governance, audit and quality assurance and risk matters. About the Role The purpose of this position is to support the coordination and reporting of the Commission’s performance, planning and reporting activities, ensuring effective monitoring of the organisation’s performance and delivery of the Annual Planning and Reporting Program. Position Duties Reporting to the Assistant Director, Performance and Reporting, your main responsibilities will include: Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and guidelines related to the Commission’s Corporate Plan and Annual Report. Developing supporting materials and guidance tools for staff involved in the creation of these documents. Contributing to the maintenance and embedding of the Commission’s Enterprise Performance Framework, Planning and Reporting Framework and related guidance. Managing the annual planning and reporting schedule. Providing subject‑matter expertise for the creation and delivery of related education and training. Supporting staff who content the Corporate Plan and Annual Report to collect, monitor and submit accurate data within specified timeframes. Acting as the key internal contact for feedback and queries about the annual planning and reporting program. Developing and quality‑assuring briefings and reports on the status of the programme as required. Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria) To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: Excellent knowledge, or the ability to quickly gain and apply such knowledge, of the PGPA Act. Demonstrated project/program management skills delivering high‑profile, deadline‑driven projects in a dynamic environment. Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence and interact effectively with diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Teamwork skills, encouraging innovative ideas and fostering a positive team culture. Capacity to manage competing priorities and prioritise workload in a busy environment. Position Notes Salary range: $96,503 – $108,869 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation. Only Australian citizens may apply. Appointment is conditional on a successful national police check. Non‑ongoing opportunities will be offered for irregular/intermittent terms, up to 12 months with the option to extend to 24 months. Merit pool may be used to fill this or future vacancies.
