We're looking for a passionate and experienced hospitality professional ready to take the next step in their career and lead one of Melbourne's most recognisable Espresso Bar. As Venue Manager, you'll work closely with a small, coffee-obsessed team to bring warmth, consistency, and great vibes to every guest experience. You'll champion quality, customer service focus, nurture your team, and ensure the venue continues to operate smoothly and efficiently day-to-day. As Venue Manager, you'll work closely with a small, coffee-obsessed team to bring warmth, consistency, and great vibes to every guest experience. You'll champion quality, customer service focus, nurture your team, and ensure the venue continues to operate smoothly and efficiently day-to-day. What You’ll Be Doing Leading and motivating a tight-knit team through positive, hands‑on and encouraging leadership Maintaining BBB's warm, community‑centric service style Overseeing training, performance, rostering, and general HR responsibilities Upholding high standards across product quality, workflow, and customer experience Ensuring compliance with food safety, OH&S, and Seven Seeds operating standards Dialling in coffee daily, including using a refractometer to measure extraction and adjusting recipes as needed Managing opening & closing procedures, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships Maintaining the vibe & creating a space that feels energetic, welcoming, and authentically BBB What We’re Looking For At least 3 years of experience in a similar management or leadership role Proven ability to lead, communicate, and build strong team culture Comprehensive understanding of espresso and filter brewing methods, equipment, and workflow Strong organisational and administrative skills, including basic computer proficiency A calm, confident, and solutions‑focused approach during busy periods A genuine passion for hospitality, customer service, and specialty coffee A willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to venue and business goals Australian work rights are required for this position This is a full‑time salaried position (38 hours per week) with one weekend day required.
