Join MiCare's Friendly Visiting Team in Bendigo MiCare is a multicultural organisation looking for volunteers that can share a smile and companionship during visits to older people in the Greater Bendigo Region of Victoria. People of all cultural backgrounds are welcome. Volunteering brings fun and fulfilment to your life and makes a huge difference to those in the community seeking companionship. Visits may be spent talking or sharing in a simple leisure activity together. Your regular visits can make a real and positive difference in the life of others. We ask volunteers to commit to visits (1hr weekly/fortnightly) for at least 6 months, however this is an ongoing role and we hope to support your friendship for as long as possible. Volunteers receive training, orientation, ongoing support, travel reimbursement and invitations to meetings together with other visiting volunteers.
