About The Role The Manager Integrity leads the department’s integrity function and is responsible for providing expert specialist advice on integrity and to support if required ethical behaviour matters. position is also responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive approach for promoting integrity, ethical behaviour (as required), and preventing fraud and corruption occurring in the department and its portfolio entities. Position Accountabilities Lead the development and adoption of strategies, structures and processes that seek to maintain the highest possible standards of integrity Lead the development of effective procedures and systems for monitoring breaches of integrity. Develop and deliver workshops, information and training programs designed to promote integrity, ethical behaviour and good governance, including promoting relevant information on the Department’s intranet for all staff. Provide leadership and coordination to the Department’s fraud and corruption control plan and Integrity Framework, including its development, implementation and application. Facilitate and support the Department and its portfolio entities in their integrity management and ethical behaviour. Represent the Department and provide leadership in the broader VPS and portfolio agencies on high complex and sensitive matters relating to integrity management and ethical behaviour. Manage a small team in the delivery of integrity related services ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service and productivity. Provide high quality specialist advice on issues relating to the DTP Integrity policies including if required the Code of Conduct, serious employee misconduct, and fraud & corruption risks and activities, in order to minimise risk and liability. Keep abreast of emerging issues and external industry knowledge, monitoring trends and patterns in DTP activities, to ensure DTP has appropriate means of identifying, detecting, and addressing risks around fraud, corruption and misconduct. Provide effective leadership and coaching to employees, and motivate them to develop and sustain positive ethical behaviour standards and practices Provide support across the Governance & Portfolio Services Division as required. Key Selection Criteria To be successful this role will require a confident leader who can motivate, coach and develop a high-performing team to deliver strong business outcomes. You’ll shape and apply policies, guidelines and precedents, using advanced professional judgement to resolve complex and novel issues. With experience providing accurate, influential advice to senior stakeholders, you’ll proactively identify emerging integrity risks—including fraud, corruption and serious misconduct—and ensure they are escalated and managed appropriately. Your strong analytical capability enables you to interpret complex data, implement targeted risk-reduction programs and strengthen organisational controls. A skilled communicator and relationship-builder, you’ll influence cultural change, challenge existing practices and raise organisational awareness of integrity, risk and ethical behaviour. Qualifications And Experience Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or extensive experience in a similar role. Other Information Ordinary hours of work are Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm. Flexible/hybrid work options are available. The department expects a minimum of three days per week at a department designated office location.
