Timber Creations Nature Play – Somersby NSW Installation Team Leader – Full Time (38 hrs/week) Somersby, Central Coast NSW Timber Creations is looking for an Installation Team Leader to lead our onsite installations. This role combines practical hands‑on work, leadership, and creative problem‑solving, making each day interesting and different. You will oversee installations and maintenance, manage a small team of 1–2 labourers, and liaise directly with customers to ensure each project runs smoothly and professionally. The ideal candidate will have basic landscape and carpentry skills, a flair for artistic positioning of play elements, and the ability to adapt onsite when unexpected challenges arise. You will be responsible for ensuring installations are functional, safe, and visually engaging, while mentoring and coordinating your team. About the Role Full-time position (38 hrs/week) Casual contract may be available if required Work days start and finish at the Somersby workshop Hours: 7:00am–3:30pm (Friday early finish at 1:00pm) You will receive training in the creation of custom timber sculptural play equipment in the workshop. Onsite, you will lead installations including digging, lifting, concreting, spreading mulch, and arranging play elements with an artistic and practical eye. You will also coordinate and complete maintenance visits, liaising directly with customers and school staff. The role requires driving company vehicles, including trucks, to and from sites. Requirements White Card, or willingness to obtain before starting Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check Current driver’s licence and reliable transport Manual licence required, with confidence driving company trucks Basic landscape and carpentry skills Strong communication and leadership skills A good eye for visual balance and creative positioning of natural play elements Lead and coordinate a small team of 1–2 labourers Problem‑solve and adapt when onsite challenges arise Apply creativity and flair in positioning natural play elements in an artistic and functional way Be willing to learn more, with basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and timber identification Perform physically demanding tasks such as digging, lifting, and minor excavation Be reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to safe work practices Remuneration Pay will be set according to skill level and experience, upwards of $75,000 per year plus superannuation.
