The Senior Radiographer is responsible for the operational management of a section/modality, providing clinical support and ensuring the efficient utilisation of resources. The role also provides high‑quality imaging services to patients and referring clinicians and leads the professional development of qualified and trainee radiographers. Selection Criteria Current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia as a Medical Radiation Practitioner – Diagnostic Radiographer and an IA14 radiation licence issued by EPA. Demonstrated extensive experience and competence within a section/modality and in performing complex clinical procedures reflecting a level of continuing education and/or practical expertise. Experience of effective prioritisation, organising workload and delegating duties. Ability to communicate effectively, work as a team member and supervise other radiographers, including training and teaching qualified and trainee radiographers. High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with all levels of staff, patients and external agencies and to positively influence organisational change. Availability to participate in a seven‑day per week rotating roster and to be rostered on call. Thorough understanding of the principles of Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement. Senior‑level experience in managing Theatre workflow and equipment, providing leadership, coordination and support to Theatre and mobile radiographic staff.
