Specific Selection Criteria Proven capacity and experience in balancing exemplary classroom practice and the coordination of the complex leadership and management role of an Assistant Principal. Proven ability to lead with integrity and develop strong collaborative teams characterised by high levels of collective efficacy, relational trust and psychological safety that enable students to benefit from the combined knowledge and expertise of the team. Demonstrated ability to lead the implementation of high quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs informed by evidence-based practices and effective data analysis to drive continuous improvement, with a focus on growth for all students. Proven ability to be an open, approachable and visible leader with a strong commitment to promoting the school vision and enhancing strong partnerships, through authentic connections and collaborative partnerships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community to enhance learning and wellbeing of all students. General Selection Criteria 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice. 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs. 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams. 4. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents. 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning. 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
